Evacuations can be stressful. However, if you take the time to prepare you can save time and make real situations less stressful.
If you have a BC Services Card and would like to register in preparation for a possible future evacuation, you can now self-register and create an Emergency Support Services (ESS) profile.
ESS provides short-term temporary services and information to individuals and households that have been evacuated due to a nearby hazard or disaster.
Residents are encouraged to create a profile on ESS.Gov.BC.ca and set up their BC Services Card app by visiting ID.Gov.BC.ca to verify their identity before an emergency occurs.
The BC Services Card app plays a pivotal role in verifying the identity of residents and enables access to e-transfer deposits, enhancing choice and reducing delays during emergencies.
Pre-registering with BC Services and creating an Emergency Support Services profile can save time and reduce stress during an actual emergency.
