Please note that there will be a daytime restriction of the western access to the Scatchard Trail network (on the right looking towards the slope from the trailhead) from September 23 to 28 between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:00 pm.
This is a safety measure to support safety fence installation and is expected to be in place for approximately 6 days. There will be signage and closure tape at the trailhead and the first western switchback to remind trail users that this trail segment is not available during the day. The eastern Scatchard trail pedestrian access will be available 24 hours/day for the duration of this work, and the western access will be re-opened at the end of each workday (approximately 5 pm).
During daylight hours, from the Village and the highway, you may see a fencing crew and equipment working on the trail.
