White Rock Lake Fire Update

There hasn’t been any significant fire activity in the north flank (closest to Chase), and the fire hasn’t moved towards Chase area in the last 5 days. There’s been some minor fire activity in the Paxton Valley but within the containment lines and not near the fire guards as the fire finds patches of forest fuels that remain.

Rain yesterday and overnight have slowed things down considerably and there is more rain in the forecast for the weekend in the general area of the fire. Amounts and locations yet to be confirmed. This will put a bunch of relative humidity into the area of the fire and keep the fire behaviour down.
Winds shifted overnight from the south west to the north west. Generally, they will maintain this north north west position into the weekend, which will keep pushing the fire moving south south-east and away from the Chase.
