Please note that effective at 12 p.m. (noon) on Friday, July 12, 2024, Category 1 campfires will be prohibited throughout the Kamloops Fire Centre to help prevent human-caused wildfires and protect public safety.
The campfire prohibition will remain in effect until Oct. 11, 2024, or until the orders are rescinded.
Category 2 and Category 3 open burning is also prohibited across the entire Kamloops Fire Centre.
