Utility Billing

Village of Chase Utilities consist of three components: Water, Sewer & Solid Waste.  


These are billed quarterly, within one to two weeks after the water meters are read. 


The four billing quarters period as follows:


Annual Fixed Rate - Four Equal Billing Per Year (Consumption Period)

  • 1st Quarter Billing: January (October 1 – December 31)
  • 2nd Quarter Billing: April (January 1 – March 31)
  • 3rd Quarter Billing: July (April 1 – June 30)
  • 4th Quarter Billing: October (July 1 – September 30)

Email Billing

You can now sign up to receive your bills via email instead of regular mail.  Simply complete this form and email it to chase@chasebc.ca, fax it to 250 679 3238 or drop it at the Village office.

Online Payments

You can register to pay your utility bills online through your financial institution.  Search for a new payee by name and type in “Chase”.  Click to add “Village of Chase – Property Tax or Utilities” as the new payee. You must enter your account number which starts with “000” and can be found on the left hand top area of the bill just under the Village address.


OptionPay is a third party credit card service provider which allow online credit card payment for services. OptionPay will charge a service fee for processing the credit card payment on your behalf.  Please refer to the service provider’s website for terms and conditions of their services, charges and payment processing times.

Payments are applied to the oldest balance first, then to current charges.  Any water, sewer and garbage charges left unpaid on the second business day after January 1 in each year shall be transferred to property taxes and shall bear interest beginning the second business day after January 1 until paid in full at the rate established by the Provincial Government for arrears and delinquent taxes.

Rates

The water and sewer service fees are a recurring annual charge renewing on the first day of every calendar year, and billed in four equal instalments January 1, April 1, July 1, and October 1.
