A year round paradise to live and vacation in.

A wonderful place to base your Shuswap experience, Chase is located between Kamloops and Salmon Arm along the Trans Canada Highway. The Village of Chase is nestled between the shores of Little Shuswap Lake and the South Thompson River Valley. Chase Creek, which drops over three small waterfalls before flowing through the town, enters the South Thompson River just below the lake’s outlet.

The downtown core is lined with seasonal blooms and is easy walking to a variety of specialty stores, local art, cultural experiences and restaurants. Stop by one of the coffee shops, bakeries or grocery outlets and enjoy a cappuccino, refreshing fruit smoothie to go with your lunch, or pick up your favourite fresh deli supplies, baked goods and treats for a picnic in a waterside park (Memorial or Willson).

Free RV parking is available and conveniently located in the Chase Plaza, which offers a myriad of amenities and services. It happens to be next door to the Art Holding Memorial Arena, home of the Chase Heat Junior Hockey League team.

The rural areas surrounding Chase are home to some of the best agricultural soils in the province. Local produce includes world famous corn, strawberries and pumpkins that can be enjoyed in season from Burkholder Bro.’s Corn Farm, Pete Murray’s Farm and Golden Ears Farm. Bring the family out to the Chase Country Corn Festival and the Pumpkin Patch during the late summer and abundant fall seasons.

From May to September, the local Farmers’ Market offers a variety of organic and non-organic produce, arts and crafts, as well as live music (Fridays from 10 AM to 2 PM in Chase Plaza by Safety Mart). For the music lover, mark your calendars and plan to attend our Music By the Lake ‘happening’ on Tuesday evenings (this has been put on hold for the 2020 season due to COVID precautions).

During the summer, one can experience Canada’s unique Aboriginal cultures at the Squilax Pow Wow celebration held every year in July. It is a celebration of First Nations people with traditional demonstrations and ceremonies. Summer would not be complete without a round of golf and enjoying a relaxed lunch — at the Sunshore Golf Course in the heart of Chase or at our neighbouring Talking Rock Resort and Quaaout Lodge, both with stunning lake and mountain views. Enjoy more scenic adventures in the Adams Lake Area, Little Shuswap Lake, Niskonlith Lake, Chase Creek, and Turtle Valley.
