The Chase Fire Department provides both emergency and non-emergency services to the Village of Chase and to outlying areas that request and pay for fire suppression.  In addition, the department has provided road rescue services, assisting the RCMP and the BC Ambulance Service in relation to persons involved in motor vehicle crashes.  This service is provided by our highly-trained, committed and well-equipped volunteer fire department members.

Volunteer Opportunities
Individuals who are in good physical condition and have the desire to participate in emergency fire, rescue, and emergency medical activities are invited to apply for positions with the Fire Department.  To apply, simply complete the Chase Fire Rescue Application Form and drop it at the Fire Department or the Village office.

Serious consideration should be given before choosing to apply to be a member of the Fire Department as there are many factors associated with becoming a member.  Participation as a volunteer brings personal rewards and satisfaction, raises self-esteem, and gives a tremendous sense of accomplishment for a job well done.  It also involves working as a team under, sometimes, very difficult circumstances.  Assisting your community by being a volunteer firefighter provides our citizens with valuable services that touch many lives.

We also have opportunities for individuals to join as ‘associate’ members.  That means that you may not wish to attend fire scenes and take the firefighting training, but perhaps you can provide some support to the firefighters by helping with paperwork and equipment checks, helping to organize training events, helping with the maintenance of the hall, all while enjoying the camaraderie of your fellow department members.

For more information please contact either Fire Chief Brian Lauzon at 778-220-3032 or the Village office at 826 Okanagan Avenue in person or by phone at 250-679-3238.
