Boating, fishing, golfing, hiking, mountain biking are just a few of the ideal pursuits that are on your doorstep when you live in the warm and sunny climate of Chase.
The downtown core is lined with seasonal blooms and is easy walking distance to a variety of specialty stores and restaurants. Stop by one of the coffee shops, bakeries or grocery outlets and enjoy a cappuccino or a refreshing fruit smoothie with your lunch or pick up your favorite fresh deli supplies, baked bread and treats for a picnic on a downtown bench or lakeside park.
Sunshore Golf Course invites golfing enthusiasts to enjoy this exceptional 9 hole course, Sunshore is described as the “jewel of the Village”. With a par 32, this course is ideal for families and affordable fun where you are able to enjoy splendid views of the Little Shuswap Lake and tree lined slopes of the Highlands Range. Sunshore was created in the late 1960’s as part of a development on the site of the old Hysop Farm. In 2006, further development threatened the existence of the golf course. A group of local residents rallied together to purchase the golf course through the Chase Recreation Society. The reconfigured layout features 1899 yards over nine holes.
If spending a day relaxing on the water sounds great, then Little Shuswap Lake is the place to be. Relax and enjoy yourself at the public beach and take some time to dive off the recently upgraded Wharf. Opportunities exist for a multitude of water based activities such as boating, kayaking, canoeing or just floating away the day. The laughter of children and the hum of excitement can be heard from the public beach at Memorial Park where you will find a boat launch. An additional boat launch can be found at Mill Park.
If hiking interests you, there are many trails to explore on the Switchbacks, these trails can be accessed from many locations within Chase. The views are exceptional and there are trails for all hiking abilities. There are many trails within the community that follow Chase Creek that provides for a relaxing walk around town, what a way to explore Chase.
Chase has a number of softball diamonds for your enjoyment and there are plenty of opportunities to join a league! You will also find the newly renovated tennis courts can also be used for pickleball.
