With extreme temperatures expected in the coming days, the Chase Library at 614 Shuswap Avenue will be open as a cooling centre during regular hours:
- Tuesday, Wednesday: 11 am to 5 pm
- Thursday: 1 pm to 7 pm
- Friday, Saturday: 11 am to 5 pm
- Closed on Sunday/Monday
When possible, please check on high-risk individuals or others who may need assistance.
Residents can also stop by the Wading Pool at Centennial Park (Pine St & 2nd Ave) or the Splash Park at Memorial Park (1212 2nd Ave) to cool off during the heat wave.
